Carer Roadshow at Chelmsford Library

As a continuation of the spotlight put on family Carers during Carers Week 2016, Essex County Council is organising a series of Carers Roadshows, recognising the County’s 146,000 unpaid Carers.

  • 13th September 2016 – Colchester Library, 10:00 – 14:00
  • 20th September 2016 – Harlow Library, 10:00 – 14:00
  • 29th September 2016 – Basildon Library, 10:00 – 14:00
  • 4th October 2016 – Chelmsford Library, 10:00 – 14:00
  • 13th October 2016– Rayleigh Library; 10:00 – 14:00

Supporting Carers in Essex will be joining Essex County Council, along with other voluntary organisations, to provide information, advice and signposting for Carers.

The aim of the Roadshows is to inform and empower Carers – ensuring that all Carers are aware of the range of support available to them.  The objective is also to reach people who look after someone who may not consider themselves Carers to make them aware that there is help available to them.

Headway are increasingly aware of the rise in the number of Deputies working with brain injury survivors who lack capacity and therefore will again be hosting this event for professional deputies for a second year on Thursday 13th October at The Studio in Manchester in partnership with The Office of The Public Guardian.
